User Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars Good for music books
I used this book holder to hold open music books on my piano. New book bindings are often too tight and make it hard to read the music when the pages fold up on its own.
I leave this tool on the new books I buy, and the music books are much easier to manage, and turn pages. Its not so easy to turn pages with the device on all the pages, so I leave 4-5 pages out of the clamp so I can turn them while playing the music without fumbling, while the rest of the pages stay back under the clamps and don't flip the book closed.
5 Stars Convenience!
Great little gadget. I use it while on the elliptical and treadmill at the gym, and it works great! It's so portable and easy to use. Highly recommended.
4 Stars great for workout!
perfect for holding the pages back when im on the cardio machines at the gym!
4 Stars Works great, with minor modification
I'm pleased with this product. I use it to read novels while working out on the elliptical machine. It works for any sized book, including very thick hardcovers. I did have to make a slight modification, on the advice of another reviewer, of removing the rubber endcaps on the top two prongs. This makes turning pages much easier because the pages don't stick/catch. But these pop right off, so no problem. I've been using it happily ever since.
3 Stars Misrepresented
This product should not be advertised as a "treadmill" book holder, because no hardware or mounting system is provided to attach it to a treadmill. It holds the pages open, but you still have to hold the book.

5 Stars Good, but gentle workout!
This AB roller, with it's spring return action, has allowed me to strengthen my arms and back with gentle motions – instead of the intense type of workout you get with the Ab Wheels. I am 63 years old, in pretty good shape, but needed something more gentle than the wheel. This is great!
5 Stars Great ab workout
Product is great. Make sure your core is already a bit strong or you'll feel it in your back the next day. Overall a great focused ab workout product.
4 Stars Ab Sl;ider
The Ab Slider is easy to use anywhere, at home or at the office. It mostly has worked on my arms and back, strengthening the muscles in my back and relieving some backaches from poorly toned muscles. At first it was a little hard to use, but as time went on, it became easier. Would buy again, as it doesn't take up much room and works for me!
5 Stars Ab Roller Slide.
This Ab workout is excellent. I can feel it in my ABS, shoulders & arms. Like every exercise you got to be consistent. Would i recommend this equipment to my family & friends? YES! I would.
1 Star Try an ab wheel instead…
My roommate in college had an ab wheel which was amazing – the day after I first used it my abs were so sore I could barely move. I wanted to get one for myself but was only able to find the Ab Slider so I decided to try that. It's definitely not the same. If you want to get a really great workout for your abs, I would absolutely recommend getting something like the Ironman Ab Wheel instead of the Ab Slider.

BodyCraft F602 Flat Incline Decline Bench
The most flexible weight bench available, the BodyCraft F602 can be used as a standalone platform for dumbbell workouts or in conjunction with a Smith machine for bench press, shoulder press, and more. The bench–which is made of 2-by-3-inch steel–adjusts to eight different positions, including incline, flat, decline, and near vertical (the bench stops at an 85-degree angle for proper support and comfort). The bench is also remarkably comfortable thanks to its 2-inch, high-density-foam seat and seat back, which are covered in black vinyl for durability and easy cleaning. Best of all, the bench supports a ton of different uses. When used as a dumbbell bench, the F602 perches just 18 inches off the floor, making it easy to reach dumbbells and other free weights on the floor while still providing ample room for tricep extensions and other exercises. And when you want to use the F602 with a Smith machine, simply slide it under the bar and you're set. The F602 bench, which also includes non-slip rubber feet to protect wood and other finished floors, carries a lifetime warranty.

Kettlebells let you perform intense workouts in half the time as traditional workouts. |
Featured on E! News and CNBC's The Big Idea with Danny Deutsch, Kettlebells are all the rage among celebrities, with such fans as Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz, Lance Armstrong, Mariska Hargitay, Sylvester Stallone, Claire Danes, Kim Cattrall, and Matthew McConaughey.
Kettlebells come in several weights and colors. GoFit recommends that fit females begin with 15- to 20-pound Kettlebells and fit males with 25- to 35-pound Kettlebells. Women who are just getting started with an exercise program should commence with 10 pounds, while beginning men should start at 15 to 20 pounds.
About GoFit
Charles Caswell and Richard Davis founded GoFit in 1999, with the goal of creating a solutions-based fitness products company that would provide the highest levels of professional information via both the Internet and DVD than had ever before been available. The vision mandated world-class content delivered by the top fitness, nutrition, and professional experts in the field of health and wellness. 4 Stars Great 35 LB kettlebell
My friends gave me this as a present when I told them I was starting to use kettlebells for exercise. While Dragon Door makes some really great ones, they charge over $30 shipping and have no retail options. I am giving 4 stars only because the accompanying DVD and booklet are not detailed compared to Enter The Kettlebell! Strength Secret of The Soviet Supermen or From Russia With Tough Love. Nevertheless, it is a worthwhile buy for the novice or intermediate kettlebell lifter.
2 Stars Not if you're seriously into Kettlebell training
I'm not an authority on kettlebells, but I have been using them regularly for a couple of years now. I started out with GoFit's kettlebells because of the price point compared to Dragondoor and others, and also the fact that I could actually go into a store and try one out.
While they are fine if you're starting out, or doing exercises like Windmills, Renegade Rows, swings, the handles are of pretty poor quality, and make moves like slingshots or even snatches quite painful. I've had painful callouses due to them. I would not write this review otherwise, but since the real power of kettlebell training comes from the high rep, ballistic, full range of motion exercises such as snatches, swings, slingshots etc., I believe that when you are ready to use this as a serious tool for conditioning, that you consider a kettlebell that has better handles, and distribution of weight.
Also – the PVC coating on the kettlebell is really painful if you have hair on your arms and try to do cleans.
Ok kettlebell, but really, invest in one of the original ones. I had 2 of these when i started out, and I dont use them anymore.
5 Stars Great addition to a home gym
Sure, kettlebells are kind of a fitness fad right now in the US, but don't let that stop you. In addition to being popular, they are also awesome. A historic Russian analogue to the dumbbell, a kettlebell is basically an iron cannonball with a handle on top. Kettlebell exercises typically concentrate on engaging many muscle groups at a time by swinging or lifting the kettlebell.
Pavel Tsatsouline, one of the trainers most responsible for popularizing the kettlebell in the States, promises that a good kettlebell workout will work out your whole body, burn fat, and build flexibility, and so far, I kind of believe him. I feel like I am getting a great all around workout, building muscle tone, and building core strength. Even better, it is much easier to combine light strength with cardio using the kettlebell. I can get my heart rate up to 85% and get a great workout, and I love it.
This particular kettlebell is 35 pounds (or just a smidgen short of one "pood", the Czarist russian unit of measurement that is often used for these things). That's the recommended starting weight for a man without much recent lifting experience, and as an out-of-shape man, I can assure you that it's a good starting weight. It's challenging, but not impossible, as I start with basic exericises like swings and squats, and work my way up. I think the weight will last me for a while, as I can increase the number of reps and the difficulty of the exercise, but if I stick with it, I will eventually need a second KB, a bigger KB, or both.
Unlike most of the alternatives, the GoFit bells come with a vinyl coating, and have a flat section on the side of the ball where they put the weight and logo. I like the vinyl, which I think *might* protect my floor somewhat if I drop it, and which should protect the ball itself from minor dings and nicks. On the other hand, some reviewers don't like it, arguing that if the ball bounces, you're in more trouble than if it doesn't. I don't have a problem with the flat area, but some people on the net complain about it.
The GoFit balls also come with a basic video that shows the form for several exercises. It's not a workout video, but just basic instruction. Kettlebells can hurt your back if done incorrectly, so the best thing to do is to get a session with a local kettlebell trainer. (This will also let you try out kettlebells before you buy, so I highly recommend it). If you don't want to spend an hour with a trainer, I recommend that you spend some careful time considering proper form, using resources like Enter The Kettlebell! Strength Secret of The Soviet Supermen or From Russia With Tough Love.
Update 03/12/09: I love the GoFit kettlebell, but cost-conscious buyers may want to consider alternatives like the J Fit 35-Pound Cast Iron Kettlebell. It doesn't have the vinyl coating or the powder-treated handle, but (1) it has a less expensive base price and (2) inexplicably, the J Fit kettlebell is eligible for supersaver or prime shipping and the GoFit is not.
5 Stars Ready and waiting for you…
Once you get started using a kettlebell, it almost feels like it isn't really that difficult, until the shape you start seeing in the mirror is different from the day before. Purchasing a kettlebell will replace practically every dumb bell you have ever thought of purchasing and makes all exercises you do with the kettle bell able to work a muscle (even while at rest!).
Try it and you will be rewarded by the results of proper technique and steady progression towards a goal of yours.
5 Stars Easy home exercise option
I've been working out with this kettlebell for the last several weeks. It's easy to use, easy to store, the workout is more strenuous that I imagined and I'm already seeing a difference. There are enough exercises that each workout can be different and I can see this becoming a long-term habit.
Well worth the money!!

4 Stars 1 Year Review
I've had this bench for about a year now. It is the older non-folding model with leg lift attachment. I will break it down by good points vs. negative.
Pro
1. Very Sturdy and well made
2. Aesthetics are very nice! I love the yellow.
3. Flat Bench is very sturdy and my feet rest on the floor to provide good stability. It can hold more weight than I can press, with no wobble.
4. I use Olympic weights but it's nice it can easily convert to standard width, if needed.
5. Leg attachment is very well made, with nice padding that doesn't slide off.
Cons
1. Incline presses feel awkward due to body position with a barbell. To compensate for this, I've been using dumbbells with it.
2. The back support has a little too much friction when positioning the seat from a flat to an incline. A little wax on the chrome bar may help.
3. Decline feels a bit awkward for me too, without having a spotter available. Once again, I use dumbbells for safety purposes.
To summarize, I feel this is the best bench on the market for the price. I've had a couple other benches and they did not compare in quality to the Power Tec. I use my bench routinely 3 times per week and it still looks and performs like new. I picked up a second-hand lat machine from a thrift store and with my dumbbell set, have great weekly workout sessions and see results. I highly recommend it!
4 Stars Read Before You Purchase!
I ordered my bench directly from AMAZON and I received the wrong model! The newer model allows you to fold up the bench which is what AMAZON had advertised but this is not what I received. Initially I was upset because I purchased this bench for all it's features including the new bracket folding design. However, this is just a minor setback which has no impact on my workouts so I let it slide.
I actually prefer the older model with the same model number because it appears to be much stronger and less likely to damage over long term use. Feels very sturdy and secure with the steel bar going across the bottom of the frame.
Secondly, this item was poorly packaged! At first I thought I received a used bench because it had some scratches all over the frame but only the seat and the back rest were properly packages with bubble wrap. The rest just had nylon bags and no real protection.
I let this slide because it's a workout bench and even though I want my bench to arrive in mint condition it will not impact my workouts either. The bench most likely got scratched up while in transit. It's a pretty heavy box loaded with steel bars.
If you notice I gave the bench 4 stars. I'm reviewing the bench not AMAZON's customer service. Many customers who deal with similar situations provide poor reviews for the products they ordered which is not at fault.
It's a nice bench overall. Very comfortable and includes some cool features like an angel change for the entire frame, leg extension bar handles secured under the seat, good back rest angle range ect…
I set this up as a narrow bench and ordered a 5 f barbell due to lack of space. It's nice to be able to convert the bench to an olympic bench. It will come in handy in the future when I have more space available.
You only have to take off a few bolts to switch to the Olympic bench. You will not be forced to re build the bench from scratch.
As far as mobility you just have to unscrew the back frame which holds up the barbell and you can easily move the bench to another room and tighten up the bolts again.
Took me about 40 minutes to put together.
4 Stars Commercial Quality Bench
I purchased this bench through the manufacturers website for 299.00 with the power rack for 449.00 and $43 total shipping.
The bench is commercial quality. It's weight capacity is great for even advanced lifters (600lb capacity). The bench I purchased does not fold up as seen in this picture and like I said I received mine directly form the manufacturer. The bench declines and inclines.
The incline I do not personally like. I feel that the incline puts you too far backward under the bar and forces you to lower the bar to and from the bottom of your chest rather than the middle at the nipple line. Because of this it makes it hard to use for incline. For flat bench, this product is fantastic. It truly is commercial quality as is all of powertec's products.
If you are looking for a home bench press with commercial quality I highly recommend this bench. However if you plan on working with the incline press I recommend searching for something different.
5 Stars Great, solid bench
Have had this bench for about a year now and am happy. The banch is solid, easy to build, and folds up nicely.

1 Star Try another brand
When I first purchased these weights, the adjustment tool became stuck nearly every time. After I thought I had finally figured out how to adjust it with reasonable speed, I was lifting one day and one of the weights just literally came apart in my hands, fell to the floor and narrowly missed my foot. I had only been using them for four weeks when this happened. I tried to call their customer service line to no avail. Don't waste your money. They are shoddily made.
1 Star I'll second the first review
I'm only giving these 1 star because there's no option for "0 stars".
My son bought me these for me as a gift. I had the exact same problem with the sliding mechanism. One of the dumbells worked OK approx. 80% of the time, but the other dumbell mechanism didn't work at all on one end and only about 10% of the time on the other end.
I hated to have to say anything to my son, but I did ask him if he would be able to return the one dumbell for an exchange (had I purchased them myself they would go back for a full refund).
Save up and go for the Bowflex!
